New Year, New Window

Steve Mecca

It's Wednesday and the holidays are over. That means Christmas has to come out of the window and something new has to go in.

I've been pondering the change for a while. We want to keep the light curtain going because it's so gloomy this time of year, and the lights dispel the dark. Originally, the inspiration for the light curtain came from a Sci-fi tv show.

Modern sci-fi is great with its effects and depiction of futuristic technology. But there's something deliciously campy about little green aliens and the finned rocket ships of decades passed.

In celebration of imagination both old and new, we're going with Old School science fiction with modern ambiance.

Stop in and check out of the progress. While you're at it, peruse our sci-fi collection. Yes, we have Star Wars and Star Trek novels. We also have Bradbury, Heinlein, CS Lewis, Zelazny and others.

January special: Every $25 purchase gets a free* DVD. Everyone loves free stuff! See you soon.
*Blu-ray and multi disc sets excluded.
